Privacy Policy — Catat Saku

Catat Saku (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is an offline-first expense tracker and budget planner. This Privacy Policy explains what information is handled when you use the App.
1. No account required for your money notes
You do not need to create an account with us to record income and expenses. We do not operate a Catat Saku cloud backend that receives or stores your financial transactions.
2. Data stored on your device
The following stay on your device (app storage / SQLite / secure storage), unless you export or share them yourself:
- Transactions (amounts, dates, categories, notes, payment method if entered)
- Categories, budget limits, and recurring transaction rules
- App settings (language, display name, theme / Skin, notification preferences)
- Optional in-app coin balance and unlocks (ad-free period, premium insights, Skin) — on device only; not real money and not sold via paid in-app purchase
- Optional receipt photos attached to transactions
- Optional PIN and biometric unlock preference (stored securely on device)
We do not upload your transactions, notes, budgets, coins, or receipt photos to Catat Saku servers.
3. On-device receipt OCR (optional)
If you use scan / OCR on a receipt photo, text recognition runs on your device. Images and recognized text are not sent to Catat Saku for OCR. You review and confirm suggested fields before they are applied to a draft; nothing is saved until you tap Save. A small number of scans per day may be free; further scans may use in-app coins from optionally watching ads.
4. Export, import, and sharing
If you export Excel/PDF or share files via the system share sheet, those files leave the App under your control (email, Drive, messaging apps you choose). Import reads files you select on your device. We do not receive those files on a Catat Saku server. Daily export limits (then optional coins) are enforced only on your device.
5. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App shows ads using Google AdMob, including:
- Banner — anchored above the tab bar on main tabs
- Interstitial — full-screen ads only at natural breaks (for example after several saves, export/import, returning to Home after time away, or leaving Reports after a short dwell), with a minimum gap between shows and none right after cold start
- Rewarded — optional video you choose to watch (for example from Shop) to earn in-app coins
When you are online, Google may collect and process information such as advertising ID / device identifiers, IP address and approximate location, device and app information, and ad interactions.
This is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. Your transaction contents (amounts, notes, receipts) are not provided by us to AdMob as ad targeting data.
You may spend coins for temporary ad-free time (banner and interstitial muted on device). Rewarded ads remain optional. You can reset or limit the advertising ID in your device settings.
6. Permissions
- Camera / Photos — camera to photograph receipts; Android Photo Picker (no broad gallery permission) to attach an existing photo; optional on-device OCR
- Internet — load ads when online; core tracking and OCR work offline
- Notifications — optional local reminders (budget limits, recurring due dates)
- Biometrics — optional unlock when App Lock is enabled
- Advertising ID — used by AdMob for ads
7. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children via a Catat Saku account or server.
8. Data retention and deletion
Local data remains until you delete transactions, remove receipt photos, reset app data in Settings, or uninstall the App. Uninstalling removes app-local data from that device.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised policy.

Kebijakan Privasi — Catat Saku
Catat Saku adalah expense tracker & budget planner offline-first. Kebijakan ini menjelaskan data yang diproses saat Anda memakai Aplikasi.
1. Tanpa akun untuk catatan uang
Anda tidak perlu membuat akun di Catat Saku. Kami tidak mengoperasikan server cloud yang menerima transaksi keuangan Anda.
2. Data di perangkat
Transaksi, kategori, anggaran, aturan berulang, pengaturan, saldo coin dalam aplikasi (bukan uang sungguhan / bukan IAP berbayar), foto struk opsional, serta PIN/biometrik opsional tetap di perangkat. Kami tidak mengunggah data tersebut ke server Catat Saku.
3. OCR struk di perangkat
Pemindaian teks berjalan di perangkat. Gambar/teks tidak dikirim ke Catat Saku untuk OCR. Hasil perlu dikonfirmasi; baru tersimpan setelah Simpan. Sebagian scan per hari bisa gratis; selanjutnya dapat memakai coin dari nonton iklan opsional.
4. Export / import / berbagi
File yang Anda ekspor atau bagikan dikendalikan oleh Anda. Import membaca file yang Anda pilih. File tidak diterima di server Catat Saku. Batas export harian (lalu coin opsional) hanya di perangkat.
5. Iklan (Google AdMob)
Aplikasi menampilkan iklan lewat Google AdMob, termasuk banner (di atas tab), interstitial (layar penuh hanya di jeda alami, dengan jarak minimum antar tampilan), dan rewarded (video opsional untuk coin, misalnya dari Shop).
Saat online, Google dapat memproses ID iklan dan data perangkat sesuai Kebijakan Privasi Google. Isi transaksi tidak kami berikan ke AdMob sebagai data targeting. Coin dapat dipakai untuk bebas iklan sementara di perangkat; rewarded tetap opsional.
6. Izin
Kamera/foto, internet (iklan), notifikasi (pengingat anggaran / jatuh tempo berulang opsional), biometrik (opsional), Advertising ID (AdMob).
7. Anak-anak
Aplikasi tidak ditujukan untuk anak di bawah 13 tahun (atau usia minimum setempat).
8. Penghapusan
Hapus transaksi, reset data di Pengaturan, atau uninstall Aplikasi untuk menghapus data lokal di perangkat itu.
